Fluffy snow drifted upon me, falling from a
crystal blue sky. I lay on the sand soaking up the late afternoon sunshine and shivered
at the sudden drop in temperature.
Sunshine, not
snow clouds.
“What the
heck?” I sat up and rubbed my prickly arms, a knot of foreboding tightening in
my stomach. The snow dissolved upon my warm skin, dribbled between my legs to
my ratty blanket.
